Fics like Pieces Form the Whole

Josh (age 24) and Sam (age 20) meet in the summer of 1984, fall in love, and enter into a committed, non-closeted relationship. They still end up on Bartlet’s Senior Staff; Bartlet does not have MS. Sam is elected to the Senate in a special election in 2001, and becomes President after Bartlet’s second term. This is the saga of how they make their way together despite their anxieties, insecurities, and bouts of occasional outright idiocy.
