It's inevitable when it comes to Jake. He's always got a stupid little remark to add, like he wants Jay to finally snap, like tightening the cord doesn't scare him—it excites him instead. Where others would take a step back, Jake takes a step forward. Or: Jay and Jake are still trying to be normal about each other. Apparently, that's just not something they can do.
