Fics like The Overstory Chronicles

After years of communicating exclusively through letters, bird keepers Erek and Detozi, have decided to meet in Trehaug. However, with so much left unspoken between them, their meeting is more complex than it once seemed. Detozi must navigate the pressures of their family and a society in which they do not fit in, while Erek is forced to confront the limitations he has put on himself. Can these long-time friends cross the bridges that divide them in order to grow their relationship into something deeper? This fic takes place in the time between Erek's arrival in Trehaug and the announcement of his and Detozi's engagement.
