Fics like The Science of Lobster Bisque: French Dead

Some of the crew of the Hispaniola (Muppet Treasure Island) faced prosecution for failing to kill all the pirates in the world and therefore basically being pirates themselves (the laws of Great Briton were a bastard for that at the time). Facing the rope, they accept a suicide mission from the acting replacement for the missing King Goerge II (that being Lord Cantabrigian British of Britannia). The current crew is a hodgepodge of career pirates looking for pardon, faithful Muppets wronged by the unjust laws of the era, and several strangers. These strangers come inexplicably from beyond space, time and throughout the multiverse.
