‘The Hourglass floated through empty space, black and silent, and all Remony could do was be quiet and watch the pirates around her, waiting. Archie, she had surmised at the bar back home, was insane. He was wrapped up in his delusions of taking on the actual Wildchild and winning, taking his girlfriend back even though Taz had told her the story and she knew how it would go. He boasted that he’d gone beyond the Midnight Cascade, into the Deads, that he was better than the Lone Survivor, and he bragged about attacking a shuttle leaving San Morta, that he knew what Castor was up to there.’ OR Castor and the Nebulous Complex are exposed. They’re on their last legs, facing intergalactic outrage, but a dying beast is a dangerous one, and Moreau’s leader Dr Renarda was never a tame creature to begin with. To put an end to it, Joel and his crew must face her down and destroy her, once and for all. The search takes them across half the galaxy, from nightclubs on Delta to Sirius, to the fallen planet of San Trevira and back to the Hangar, and Tarnas where it all began. They’ll meet cyborgs and body-modders along the way and uncover secrets hidden for decades, but will it be enough, or will they all perish?
