Fics like Higher Ground

ShinRa's military consisted of over one hundred squadrons, each competing for the highest rank possible. The top rank? SOLDIER, First Class. It had been held by ShinRa's most elite all-alpha squadron for years now. They happened to be Cloud's true mates. Joining their pack was one thing, but joining their squadron? No way. He wasn't interested in taking any short cuts to jump up in the ranks. Unfortunately for him, that meant they couldn't always be by his side - and omegas in the military? Even the strongest ones needed protection sometimes.
