Fics like Equanimity

He did, beyond the job and beyond the greater work at hand. As Danny steps outside to light a cigarette, hands shaking, he supposes now he always will. Alex took a part of Danny into that trunk. Danny carries a part of him now, and not only via the device in his pocket. There is no energy created anew, but only that which has been changed or altered. Alex altered him. They always do. Danny Holt kills Alex Turner and calls the murder in. But who is involved? Who sought for Alex to be killed? Why did Danny do it? And why is a handsome older man suddenly so interested in him at the pub?
