Fics like Elf it! They’re all gonna live!

Arms go under his back and knees, lifting him from the grass. Who’s lifting him? No one he knows could dead lift him from the ground this easily, if it was slower, or a little shakier he’d think it was Remus or- James! His eye fly open to an unfamiliar man looking down at him, Sirius automatically kicks out, he needs to get to James, he needs to- what? What can Sirius do?! James is dead. Sirius screams, kicking out again and again, arms held down against the man’s chest. Sirius doesn’t have the mind left to wonder who this is or how he’s holding him so easily, he just rages… until- “Sirius!” Sirius freezes, Sirius turns, Sirius sees a face he’d recognise at any age. Or I love elfling fics, and I love the Marauders and want them to live, so I thought, why not do both? And here we are! Or or The Marauders (minus the rat) are now elflings! What’ll they do? (With a surprise in chapter 2)
