Fics like Chasing Shadows

Even though the team has escaped Midgar, they're now on the run from Shinra, the Turks, and their pasts ... but unfortunately, the past has a way of catching up to them. Meanwhile, the SOLDIER program is failing. Shinra is under new leadership, Hojo is missing, and robed figures are being spotted across the continent, all mindlessly wandering towards some unknown destination. Where did they come from? What is happening to the SOLDIERs? And--more worryingly--what is this 'Reunion' that the figures occasionally groan? -- Chasing Shadows is the second installment of the Reunion Cycle series, so I strongly recommend reading Halcyon Days first if you haven't already 🌸
