They hadn’t been able to keep their hands off each other, gripping each other’s arms like they were about to lose each other all over again. They kissed and Coriolanus’s head spun with want. Life hadn’t been kind to Coriolanus, often doing a lot more taking than giving. He found himself wanting a great deal of things that always seemed just beyond his reach. He could say, in that moment though, he’d never wanted something as much as to just keep kissing Sejanus. When they had pulled apart, not much for tender words, Coriolanus had whispered against Sejanus’s face something he’d always called his horses and daughters, ‘little darling”. Sejanus responded, chanting the word ‘gorgeous, so gorgeous’ over and over like a prayer. ___________ Snowjanus goes to Brokeback Mountain For Snowjanus Week 2 Prompt: Literature, based off the heartbreaking short story by Annie Proulx, Brokeback Mountain.
