Fics like and the breaking of glass

“Both the Librarian and the Guardian are oft in the position of saving the world at the cost of their own lives," Jenkins says. "It is the ultimate sacrifice, and one that both you and Mr. Carsen have made and will continue to make. The others… perhaps not yet, but they are good Librarians and good people, and I believe they understand sacrifice.” Eve nods. “They know the risks,” she affirms. “I know that, Colonel. But recent… events… have posited a different scenario.” He looks up, staring at her straight on. “Between you and the Library, you and the world even, I must admit to a fear that your Librarians would choose you.” - aka the one where, when eve gets hurt, her librarians (to varying extents) lose their individual (and then collective) minds.
