Fics like Mystery Island: Slime Incubator

The tourists visited an inhabited island, part beach and part wildlife preserve. They were told to stay on the south side of the island, but the three friends were interested in what was so mysterious about the preserve. So they ventured to the northern beach shore, climbing between rocky cliffs. The monster waited below. All it took was for one person to slip and fall into a rocky crevice. Their friends followed in a rescue attempt, but none were heard from again.
