Minho says, “Why were you buying ice cream?” Objectively, it’s a strange question to ask. It has nothing to do with anything. It’s only a throwaway detail, to anyone else. They could have been out buying fried chicken, or band-aids, or fucking fish food, and it wouldn’t have changed anything. But they weren’t. They were buying ice cream. And Jisung knows why Minho asks, because Jisung isn’t anyone else. He tightens his grip around Felix’s waist. Minho’s eyes stay on his face, but Jisung knows he catches the action. Peripheral vision, or something. He swipes a tongue over his bottom lip, dry, and Minho follows that one. His gaze is so heavy on him that it makes Jisung forget all his lines. All his stories, all his rehearsed feelings. There’s only one line he knows, and it’s only because his heart memorized it for him. Why? Minho asks. “For you,” Jisung answers. (P158 - Jisung agrees to fake date Felix to get Seungmin to stop setting him up with random guys. Even though they end up committing to the bit in a super cringey, over the top, painfully obviously in how fake it is way, Minho gets ridiculously jealous anyway and has to come to terms with why that is.)
