Fics like Don’t Be a Stranger

Ellie presses her cheek into his palm. “When your hands are on me, I feel safe,” she says softly, each exhale tickling his wrist. “What are you asking me?” Joel breathes in a voice just as soft. He thinks–and perversely part of him hopes–he already knows. Her face falls and he's not surprised. It's exactly what she doesn't want: talking. But this is the sort of thing he needs clarification on. She scoots to the edge of the table, widening her legs so he can slot in between them and brings the hand resting on her cheek down to her knee. "Joel," her lips are flush against his ear when she whispers, “I'm asking you to touch me." ------‐----- After a bad break-up, Ellie turns to the one person she swore she'd never speak to again. The one who broke her heart before Cat ever had the chance. The only one capable of piecing it back together.
