Fics like They Forget I Am Half Human

Why, then, was Ensign Chekov standing with perfect posture in his quarters, and asking, quite firmly, to know what really happened with the Melkotians? Jim swallowed nervously - though, naturally, Chekov would have no way of recognising it as a nervous swallow, as he’d taken a tactical sip of coffee before allowing any such weakness to slip through - and faced the man head on. “Why do you ask?” Chekov relaxed slightly, but not by much. “Nothing in particular, Keptin. Only…” “Only?” “Mr Spock has been acting very strangely since our return.” *** Months after the Melkotian incident, Ensign Chekov is still unaware of the truth of what happened in that pseudo-Western nightmare. No one expected Spock to be the one who ruined that record.
