Fics like the mysterious case of alhaitham's partner

One day, while innocently eavesdropping around the bazaar, Kaveh hears that Alhaitham, apparently, has a partner. A whole lot of assumptions follow. --- “I must say, Acting Grand Sage, I certainly didn’t expect your patronage at my little stall. It must be a special occasion if you’re buying flowers, I assume?” The older woman smiles as she hands him the bouquet in exchange for a small pouch of mora. “Mm, it is.” Alhaitham nods. “They’re for my partner.” Both the stall vendor and Kaveh gasp in surprise. Kaveh doesn’t dare move or look in Alhaitham’s way as he stands still, staring straight ahead. Surely he must have heard it wrong. The woman stammers a bit but recovers quickly, and Kaveh can hear her giggle. “O-oh, it’s my honor to sell them to you, then. I hope they are to your partner’s liking.” “They are quite beautiful.” “Beautiful flowers for a beautiful person?” The vendor teases. Kaveh steals a glance in their direction, just enough to see the man smile gently. “Yes, exactly.”
