Fics like Between You and Me, the universe slips by

A month ago, Kaveh appeared, disrupting Alhaitham’s quiet life and became his roommate. In less than a week, Kaveh left the house in anger. When he returned, it was the night of Alhaitham’s birthday. A year later, Alhaitham will celebrate his birthday again. This is a story that takes place within the span of a year and a few months. A story where Kaveh finds a grandmother’s unfinished wish, completes it for her grandson, and finds love again. “It was my birthday.” Haitham replied, pouring more coffee into his cup to the halfway mark. “You bought yourself a cake?” Kaveh said, touching his mouth suddenly. He remembered how it tasted - that cake - all honey and richness, the slight fragrant crunch of pistachios still lingering in his mouth like a faint dream. “You did not eat it…” Happy Birthday, Alhaitham!
