Fics like Family Ties

Tails realized with mounting dread that he might need to offer Knuckles help. /Knuckles!/ He was good at pretty much everything… except anything to do with technology. But other than that, he could do anything! Except… he couldn’t tie laces. But some species just weren’t built for stuff like that! Their fingers were too short or their claws too long or they had webbed fingers or… whatever! The point was it happened plenty on other planets and there were usually other options available. Apparently not here though. Here, it looked like it wasn’t something people really thought about. Maybe that was why Knuckles was being so quiet… across the galaxy, people would look at his mitts and his snap shoes and /know/. Here Knuckles had to admit he needed help. And he never needed help. He was the one who gave help. That’s probably why Mom and Dad hadn’t thought to offer… and why he wasn’t asking now.
