Fics like The Designer

It's been fifty years since the Old War. Humanity has fallen on the brink of extinction, but we are repairing. Slowly, but surely. Enter... You, an ex-inventor hiding from her past. You spend your days in a junkyard finding old parts and turning them into something new. You don't have a family; you prefer to be alone. You're perfectly content like that. And then, one day, your whole life turns upside down when you come across a pair of robots hiding in a scrapheap. Suddenly, you don't want to be alone anymore.
