Fics like Old Souls

In canon, the Fabrication Machine was able to claw its way up out of the chasm when it was trapped inside the broken bridge. This lead it to make an even more desperate chase towards the stitchpunks, dooming itself in the process. In this universe, the machine was heavy enough to rip the bridge out from the chasm wall which pinned the machine down as it was buried by the ensuing dirt, sealing it off from the world seemingly forever. It was trapped for quite a long time, but as long as it remained intact it would one day return. Once again the factory's smokestacks petered out as the BRAIN and its creations were laid low by father time. After ages and ages, the factory joined the many abandoned cities among the oldest inhabited by the Grimm in the world of RWBY. Only, this time when it wakes up after someone was too curious for their own good again, humanity had somehow returned in its slumber. How peculiar. Saw a fic on 9 after a rewatch, got inspired I will be taking certain creative liberties to stop myself from tearing up and tearing out my hair as I endure RWBY's writing Tags and rating will be updated as the fic goes on(someone suggest tags PLEASE)
