Fics like Macchiato

“Why a macchiato?” I finally ask as I steam the milk. “Why not a macchiato?” “Don’t be contrary.” I shoot back. “If you don’t like milk, order an espresso.” “I do like milk.” He rests his elbows on the counter, a slow smile spreading across his face as he stares across at me. “Then order a flat white.” “Not that much milk.” One corner of his lips ticks up in a lopsided smirk. My eye twitches. “F—” Fuck you, is what I was going to say, but at the last minute I realise he’s still a customer and I need to remain professional…and also I don’t want to give him the satisfaction of knowing how much he irritates me. 🥐 🐾 Because every fandom needs a coffee shop AU.
