Fics like salt in the wound (and a kiss on my cheek)

It’s not that Jason’s suicidal, exactly. It’s just that he can appreciate the symmetry of it all. After all, it was Jason who was always begging Bruce to break that golden rule. To do it for him. And now, look! Exactly what he asked for, in the universe’s twisted, ironic package. Jason’s got a sense of humor. He can appreciate that for what it is. That’s why he lets his fists fall to the side while Bruce is beating him to death. ------- A RHATO #25 canon divergence fic where Roy doesn't come to Jason's rescue that night on the rooftop. Bruce and Jason deal with the fallout.
