Fics like The Priest and the Footballer

“It’s going to rain later,” David muses, scowling to his right. “It’s raining now.” Michael drinks deeply from his coffee mug, long gone cold. The quiet stretches between them and Michael’s mind has gone leagues away when David turns back to the screen and asks, “How do you suppose we would have met?” --- At the beginning of S02E02 David says "We should quit ... we can do other things!" to which Michael retorts, "You have zero discernable skills beyond pretending!" and they get into it about what else they might have been. David says priest, Michael says footballer. David is intrigued.
