Another deep breath. His throat started to burn more intensely but he pushed the feeling down. It was stupid that his body wanted to be fed again already, after all, Dream had allowed him an extra meal before he went off to ensure he wouldn’t faint during the mission. It was very considerate of him and Tommy was thankful. He didn’t know if he’d made it through the night otherwise. The stress seemed to gnaw away at his reserves even more than usual. (Not that he’d much of those, anyway – his new body seemed to demand blood all the fucking time. It was disgusting. He really was a monster.) OR Tommy’s life hasn’t been that great recently with forcefully being turned into a vampire and being just barely kept alive by the hunters. And it’ll come to a quick end if he doesn’t prove to them that he can be useful. The annual Solstice ball at the Syndicate coven’s manor seems to be his chance to prove his worth: He needs to gather information about vampires there; information that can help the hunters bring them down. Easy, right?
