Fics like The Mechanisms Archives

We know Ivy Alexandria as the Archivist of the starship Aurora. What if that wasn't the case? What if she instead was the Head Archivist of the Magnus Institute? Ivy's assistants Raphaella, Marius and Brian are thrust into the world of the Fears, a world that Ivy and her housemates Ashes, Jonny, Lyf, Nastya and Aurora have been in for longer than most. What secrets are they hiding? What lurks in the shadows and when will their pasts catch up with them? How human can someone stay when surrounded with those who are anything but?
