Fics like say goodbye to sad endings

“We came here because we were worried. You didn’t come over for breakfast, and you always do - even when Raelle’s gone. And when I came by a few hours ago, you didn’t reply when I knocked on the door, or when we called. So we wanted to check in and make sure you were okay.” The idea that they came here of their own volition, for Scylla’s sake, made her stomach twist. The idea that they cared for Scylla as a person rather than just as an extension of Raelle made her feel queasy. It wasn’t that she thought they didn’t care for her - she knew they did, without a single doubt. But it had always been troublesome for her to wrap her head around the idea that they considered her as family because they cared for her and not just for Raelle. It was a difficult thing to understand. or: it's the anniversary of the death of scylla's parents and raelle is gone. abigail and tally are there to pick up the pieces.
