Fics like how much of you there is (in everything i do)

Bradley is Maverick’s child. There’s nothing he could ever do to replace Goose, and he didn’t do half as good a job as his best friend would have done. However, Maverick soothed nightmares and nursed fevers, negotiated during tantrums and cheered at every baseball game. And while Maverick did a lot of things wrong, you can pry parenthood out of his burned-in corpse. He loves his kid, and all he’s ever wanted is for Bradley to be whole and happy. And maybe that starts with a real, honest conversation that is long overdue. *** Or, after The Mission, life moves on.
