Fics like on the way home

One day, over breakfast, their ankles intertwined beneath the table, Stede holds a forkful of hot fluffy pancake and sweet strawberry syrup out to Ed and says, “I have a confession.” “Yeah?” Ed asks, around his mouthful of warm sugar. “What’s that?” Stede hesitates, his thumb rubbing absently up the length of his fork. Then, he tells Ed, not breaking their eye contact, his elbows on the table and framing his half-eaten breakfast, “Nobody ever told me they loved me before you.” for ofmd fluffvember, day two: soft and "i have a confession."
