Fics like on bravery and love.

“Sweetheart,” Alex says gently, “A blindfolded six-year-old would beat you in a fight right now. I’m not worried about you running off with my twelve tons of textbooks and empty coffee cups.” Henry makes a valiant effort to glare at him, but his eyes flutter shut and he frowns like he’s not sure how it happened. He manages to blink them back open and says, “I’m fine.” “You’re dead on your fuckin’ feet. Tell me what day it is and I’ll let you walk outta here on your own.” “Um.” Alex snorts. “Nice effort. Come on. I’m taking you to my room.” He picks up Henry’s bag and slings it over his shoulder with his own, and Henry gives him a squinty little frown. “Stop being cute,” Alex says. “You stop being cute,” Henry mumbles. Then, “Fuck. Fine, I need a nap.” Alex steals a bag, makes a friend and learns some things about himself. Henry… meets a disaster and decides to keep him. Featuring: chaotic friends & friendly thievery, queer found family, so much teasing, spicy Mexican food, cheeky teenagers, communication & boundaries, silly sea animals, and conversations about attraction & identity
