Fics like no swallow lives forever, not even in summer

Thomas is butler - he's finally made it, and he's proud of it. After years of hardship, of anger and loneliness and hatred, he can finally, and for the first time in his life, say that he's content. He's found his place. Of course, that's when Lady Mary decides to put it all to the test by inviting a ghost of the past to dinner. (day 12, chapter 1: Can you hear me?) (day 16, chapter 2: Semi-conscious)
