Fics like The Thieves' work isn't over (and it's the Yo-kai's fault)

Ren thought he was done with weird things. No more Shadows to beat, no more Treasures to steal, no more cells and rehabilitations and long-nosed men. He was going back to his hometown with his record clean, and he hoped that the weirdest thing in his life would be his cat telling him to go to sleep early everyday. Nothing is that simple. When your hometown is a giant beacon for spirits of all kinds, some with less than good intentions, you can't turn a blind eye if people you care about can get hurt. After all, he is a Trickster and a Wildcard. He isn't one to look away when there's trouble. Who knows? After all, his life's journey is far from over. There's a lot to learn, a lot of people to meet, and a lot of good to do in the world.
