Fics like watercolor sunset (hello, hello)

Maverick's on his second whiskey when Kazansky appears beside him, the very picture of good manners and sin. If he had more energy, Maverick thinks he’d hate him for it, or maybe just give into the urge to suck him off in a bathroom stall. “Hello Maverick.” "Iceman." They drink in companionable silence for the next quarter hour until— "So what do you have against soulmates?" Or— It isn’t the size of the soulmark that matters, but that doesn’t mean Maverick isn’t still obnoxiously smug about his.
