Fics like Had It Been a Mentor-Thing or a Parent-Thing?

With Monkey King having left to go on his supposed 'vacation', Mk is left dealing with the sudden task of handling his job of Monkie Kid without his mentor-turned-parental-figure and struggling with the feeling of abandonment alongside it. And as days turn to weeks, and slowly fades to months, Mk begins to question what he really is to both his mentor and to the city that he is meant to protect.
