Fics like Scar-crossed Lovers

“Founder,” he gasps, tears welling unbidden to his eyes. “Cid.” Cidolfus Telamon stares down at him, expression cold. He keeps a safe distance even if Clive were to stand—not that he can. He's lost all feelings in his legs. Clive's chest heaves. “No… I…” He swallows and rasps around the deep ache in his throat, trying not to cry. “You can't be Cid. He's dead.” “Is he, now?” Cid's achingly familiar rumble rips through Clive. The older man observes him coolly for a moment. “News to me.” ** Or, a battle with Fallen tech throws Clive and Joshua five years into the past - and Clive finds himself presented with an opportunity he regrets never taking advantage of prior.
