Fics like To Burn

When Firelord Sozin launched his attack on the Air Nomads, the Avatar was killed. Nearly a hundred years later after the Water Tribe and Earth Kingdom Avatars have both been captured and killed, the Fire Sages assure anyone who asks that the Avatar has been reincarnated into the Fire Nation. It is only a matter of time, they say, before they will be able to find and train this new Avatar as a loyal soldier and protector of the Fire Nation's conquest. Little did they know, the Avatar has been at the heart of the Fire Nation since his birth. But when Firelord Ozai plots to remove his firstborn from the line of succession, he unwittingly begins a chain of events that lead to his own downfall. or the highly self-indulgent Avatar Zuko fic that no one asked for but I am writing anyway
