Fics like The Shield of Rebirth

Clive Rosfield was on a beach. Dying. Fading from existence. So why was he suddenly waking up as the long dead Sir Rodney splashed water on his face? Whatever the reason, Clive had no time to ponder this sudden change of time periods. There was only so many hours in a day, and his memory of times passed, though good, is not as clear as he would have liked. If he is to prevent the tragedy of Phoenix Gate, he must act swiftly, and quickly decide who he can trust.
