“For what it’s worth,” Jungwon starts, unaware that he’s quelling a ghost in Jay’s head, two voices overlapping. Jungwon's is louder. “For what it’s worth,” he repeats, husky voice quiet and honest, “I am glad to have you here, no matter what capacity it is in.” Jay doesn't think Jungwon should be glad to have him here. No one should be. His presence isn't a blessing, it's a curse. There's something familiar about the way Jungwon's gaze lingers on him after he bids goodbye though, like he's trying to say something without saying it. Maybe all the roads Jay has travelled have led him right here, and maybe, not everything has to end in tragedy.
