Fics like The Old Lie

Teyvat emerges triumphant in the war against Celestia. The Sustainer takes revenge with her dying gasp, and it's only through Kaeya's sacrifice that the people of Mondstadt outlive her fury. However, his heroism leaves him a petrified husk in the center of Mondstadt's main square. Mondstadt is eager to enshrine him in legend – how could they not, with the statue right there? Diluc abhors the sentiment. After all, commemorating Kaeya's heroism is tantamount to accepting his death.
