Fics like love is just a camouflage for what resembles rage

Ichigo wakes up handcuffed to his bed, with his husband of barely a year—nine months and thirteen days—holding a knife to his throat. His first thought is that it’s a sex thing. His first instinct, strangled before it can take root, is to reach for the nanoreceptors in his bloodstream. Alarm wars with a dull spark of interest as he struggles to wake up; the fact that he’s struggling, limbs heavy and eyelids hot, is strange and concerning enough that it wakes him up a little more. The knife presses a little more firmly to his jugular, and the weight on his stomach shifts and settles, hot and heavy on his diaphragm. Familiar blue eyes, modded to be slitted like a cat’s and glow in the dark, peer down at him. He can’t see the rest of Grimmjow’s face. The room is drenched in darkness. “I know you like it rough,” Ichigo rasps, tongue just barely cooperating, “but isn’t this a bit too much?”
