"You left me on my own. That’s what happened. I couldn’t exactly go back to Dick’s and after Bob died. Well. That was that. It all just fell apart. Gary and Digger skipped town. Budd couldn’t take it, started on dope. What else was I gonna do without you? I didn’t have anything else left. I think I was trying to die. I guess I was just shit at that too.” Mike took a deep, shaky breath. Part of him hated himself for cracking so easily, for spilling everything the minute Scott asked him too. But what choice did he have? He had never done anything else. If Scott Favor wanted something, Michael Waters would move heaven and earth to make it happen. So it was back then and so it was now. Nothing had changed. Not one tiny thing aka: semi-fix-it in which Scott runs back into Mike at the house of one of his business associates. Unfortunately the road to redemption rarely runs smooth.
