Some people were allowed to touch Ichigo. His close friends could put an arm over or around his shoulders, could rest against him or pull at his arms or sleeves. His less intimate but still accepted friends were allowed the same freedom some days, but Ichigo stayed out of touching distance on others. His sisters could pounce on his back, knock him to the ground and scrub up his hair without more than a few annoyed words. More often they caught his attention by catching his arm, poking him, or literally wrapping themselves around him. Kisuke had observed Yuzu hanging onto his back and chattering his ear off as he walked homewards more than once. Everyone else, those who weren’t part of Ichigo’s chosen people? They could touch him if he didn’t see them coming or couldn’t move out of the way without being obvious about it—or as when Yoruichi launched herself at him without someone else being hurt by his moving away—but largely he avoided it discretely when he could. Kisuke had borrowed Ichigo’s brooding spot a bit when he realized that he’d somehow made it into his people.
