Fics like Letters to a Friend

James the red engine has worked on the island of Sodor for many years. One day he and his crew waited in the dockyard sheds until the weather improved. To pass the time he and his crew came up with an idea to pass the time. This story takes place in Europe in early 1950s. Sodor was still recovering from the second World War. This story will see hidden feelings being uncovered, the strong bonds shown between engines and their crew and engines overcomming prejudices and facing their fears along with many more surprises. But most if all, this story is about our favorite red engine making a new friend.
