Fics like heaven is not fit to house a love like you and i (but a circus might be!)

A lizard the size of a man. Jenny imagines a wyvern-like creature, ready to throw open the cage doors when let loose. Or perhaps, a crocodilian specimen, jaws wide enough to swallow a crinoline skirt. She braces herself for any possibility. Taking a deep breath, she enters the tent quietly, and is faced with a green woman in rags. It’s certainly not a mermaid, that’s for sure. Or, AU: Jenny stays with her family’s traveling circus, and Vastra is captured by the very same troupe. Jenny is tasked with the care of the freakshow creatures, but she gets a little more than she bargained for when her newest charge is a temperamental Silurian.
