Fics like help hurts

“Are you ok, my love?” Jenny managed to squeeze out a hum in response. She could already feel the blood on her hands begin to grow cold and the warmth of tears pricking at her eyes. Vastra looked into her eyes, face as solemn as stone. “I’m afraid, my dear, that Strax’s med-scanner is out of service at the moment,” she explained. At Jenny’s whimper, she continued, “Nevertheless, I will see you through this, if with more crude methods than I had hoped for.” The reptile stood up, holding her hands out as they dripped red. She stepped out of Jenny’s eye-line, returning shortly with greener scales and a damp strip of cloth.
