Fics like What It Takes
Vito Scaletta came to America as the child of Sicilian immigrants in the 1930s. Facing poverty and discrimination he and his best friend Joe turn to crime in the hopes of a better life. Very little goes according to plan. A retelling of Vito’s story in Mafia 2, gradually abbreviating from canon to sort of fix the clusterf*** of an ending that broke my heart. As the game it gets pretty dark at times, though. So be warned, guys.
