“You never answered any of my questions before! Which is cool, I guess, don’t gotta. But- oh! Wanna be friends?” the younger rambled. Zoro’s eyes widened, before he regarded the human curiously, “why would i make friends with a human?” he asked. The human tilted his head, as if contemplating the question, before he answered, “I dunno, I don't really have any, I guess. And you're nice, so why not?” Zoro recoiled slightly from that, “I'm not nice.” he denied. The mortal giggled, “ya, you are.” he stated, as if it were fact. Zoro regarded the human carefully, “what’s your name?” The mortal's grin turned blinding, “Monkey D. Luffy! What’s yours?” The god hesitated. “Roronoa Zoro.” The mortal's eyes practically sparkled, “nice to meet you! This means we're friends right?” Zoro shook his head, “no, i never said-” Luffy sprung up, ignoring his denials, “Yosh! I finally have a friend!” he cheered. --- When Luffy had decided to use the feared god of Death and Wars temple as a temporary place of stay, he never expected to meet the god, let alone fall for him.
