Fics like A Torn Stitch

On Punk Hazard, Trafalgar D. Water Law runs into a pirate crew with the same jolly roger he remembers tattooing on the shoulder of a swordsman. He stares at a smiling man in a straw hat, barely out of his teens, and the green-haired first mate next to him, whom Law had met only once, years ago. He thinks of Zoro-ya in his medical bay, asking Law for a tattoo with a desperation that had been painfully familiar. The utter devotion in his words when he had told Law, “My captain will be the Pirate King.” (He thinks of pink feathers, string, a smile and gunshots–) And Law cashes in the favor he is owed.
