Fics like to this fate, i am tethered

Link stumbled upon the Master Sword when he was only twelve years old. Zelda has heard the stories, some in passing from other knights gossipping in the castle halls, others from Impa and her father. Most of them are just fairytales—no one actually knows exactly how Link found it, partly because he’s never told anyone. All they know for certain is that he’d gone off exploring one day, back when the greatest dangers were just bears and Deku hornets, and wandered into the barracks that evening to show his father the muddy, vine-covered sword he’d managed to drag back with him. Everything changed that night. Sometimes Zelda thinks that her childhood ended the day her mother died. Other times she thinks it ended for a second time, along with Link’s, the day he found that cursed sword.
