Fics like if you love me won't you say something

“I really like the shirt you’re wearing,” Buck chirps while he tosses the salad. It’s a giant bowl, and most of his attention is on not letting the leaves fall out. He’s being normal, casual, complimenting his best bro. An average day. “It looks good on you.” Buck watches Eddie from the corner of his eye. Eddie looks down, then back up at Buck with an exasperated expression. “This shirt? Seriously?” When Buck really gets a glimpse of the shirt, he winces. While he was right about it looking good on Eddie- because, honestly, everything looks good on Eddie- it’s covered in pasta sauce and excess spices. It has three holes on the neck hem and two more in the right armpit, and those are the only ones Buck can see. He can play this off. “It would look better if you were a meatball.” Eddie blinks at him. “Get it?” Buck is starting to sweat now. Is it hot in here? He reaches back to turn the stove down half of a notch. “Because you’re covered in sauce?” or, the asexuality of snails, getting engaged, and the love languages book
