Buck isn’t even looking at him, but he knows exactly what face he makes. “No, I’m gonna go with husband.” The cashier is watching them like they’re a particularly riveting television show. All Buck can think to say is, “You’re not hot enough to be my husband.” Lie. The biggest lie in the world.
